The guest will walk into a "Modern Art and Antiques" exhibit in a raw industrial space in Historic Brewerytown. Guests will be given booklets describing each item. There will be appetizers served and refreshments. We will have a live garment embellishing exhibition. (those who wish to participate can do so.) Next, there will be a podcast style moment of sharing, where the host explains the Search and Rescue concept and history behind the exhibition. Also, how it relates to American History and Philly sub Culture. Afterward, a paint party to express oneself on random mediums chosen by the brand creative director. Lastly, everyone goes home with a tshirt or piece of art that was created by the guest with Search and Rescue Drygoods sourced material. A best of all plenty of photo opportunities.
The first idea behind Search & Rescue is, searching and Rescuing American culture. My name s Coach, I am owner of S+R Dryoods. I'm very articulate and passionate about the Search and Rescue brand story and experience. I will walk guests through the entire Search and Rescue process of design and speak about the antiques and art with intelligence. The hunting, the finding, and taking things that people overlook to repurpose them. That is the search and rescue process. It takes on a lifestyle — I love to share my 20 plus years of experience in design having collaborated with Urban Outfitters and West Elm, as well as serviced designer tradeshows in Las Vegas and NYC. All items are hand picked and I know the stories behind every piece in the collection. The experience is hosted by myself Coach (Isaiah Gaines)
