Why not reduce carbon footprint on your travel & use the public transit system? Arguably this might also be the best way to explore the city too! Global citizen living a local life! Kuala Lumpur Public Transit Map might be confusing to visitors, hence allow a local as myself to guide you through the intricate system to ensure you have a fun & efficient day exploring the city! First, we meet at Pasar Seni MRT station in the middle of Chinatown. From here, we take the train to Kampung Baru for our hearty local lunch. To burn off the calories we will spend about 30 minutes walking around Kampung Baru, the only Malay traditional village left in the middle of Kuala Lumpur! We then continue our train journey slightly further to the outskirts. The train ride is surely a scenic one once the track goes overground as it goes out of the central area. Our next location is a hidden cafe for a cendol (a famous local iced dessert) break, to cool us off from the sweltering weather and try out a Nothern Malay version of Laksa. After spending an hour here, we will take our final train ride back to the city where our experience will end at the same place, Pasar Seni MRT station where you can continue your own day exploring the colorful city!
