Every note we play is just for you! We'll play a set of music that's interspersed with stories, sitting only a few feet away from us in the comfort of our living room. - This event is all about enjoying great music, good conversation, and a bite to eat, all in the company of like-minded people. - The concert program will vary from event to event, and there may also be a surprise guest artist! But you can definitely expect to hear works by master composers such as J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, as well as newer pieces by Torontonian composers. - You'll also get insider access to see what life as a working musician is like in Toronto, in our beautiful live/work space. Our place was recently featured in Toronto Life magazine's Live-work space: Inside the super-functional condo of a pair of professional musicians - For those who are animal lovers, our cat Mortimer is very handsome and friendly, and he never fails to put a smile on your face.
We are Emily (pianist) and Rory (violist), a pair of professional musicians living in downtown Toronto. Over the past five years, we have presented over 70 intimate chamber music concerts in homes all over Toronto through our successful series, Pocket Concerts. You can catch Emily performing in recitals with some of Canada's finest musicians, and Rory regularly plays with The Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and The National Ballet of Canada Orchestra. We are both passionate home-cooks, travellers, and founding members of our condo supper club.
