Welcome Aboard! Our 12:30 PM, three hour guided cruise will depart from West Sound Marina, aboard a truly majestic vessel the "High Seas". Once owned by Hollywood royalty, the High Seas was built in 1935 by world famous naval architect John Alden, and over the past few years she has been restored to her previous glory. After a short reception and briefing from the Captain, we will proceed Southwest towards Pole Pass. You are welcome to sit back, relax and enjoy as the Captain explains the history of landmarks along the way. Our cruise will proceed along a counterclockwise course around Shaw Island, including the southern end of Orcas Island. Along our journey we will past many famous landmarks, such as Massacre Bay, Deer Harbor, Crane Island, Wasp Passage, Blind Bay and the San Juan Channel. At the pinnacle of our voyage, as we turn East entering the Harney Channel, you should get as truly amazing view of Mount Baker's snow capped summit. And with any luck we may spot orcas, humpbacks, minkes and occasionally even gray whales. Our cruise will conclude safely back at West Sound Marina.
