This tour starts in Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of Parma. In this place we meet and we will talk about the importance of this city as a symbol of Italian cuisine recognized worldwide for UNESCO. So we will discover the oldest roots of this millennial tradition and then we will go on on the streets of the historic center by visiting different places that tell the Parmesan culinary identity. In this path we could get to know, taste and buy typical products, share a run of coffee, watch how pizzas are made by pizza chefs and get to know the places and characters that deserve to be evaluated while guests make tourism in this beautiful city. All the information told by the journalist and writer Francisco Fantini is the same that will be published in the contents of his next book Cucina di Parma & Food Valley.
I am a journalist and writer who developed his work in the research and promotion of the gastronomic culture of the peoples where I lived. I was born in Chile where I published several books such as "Patagonian Cuisine", "Valparaíso Cuisine" and "Poetic Cuisine from Chile. From Pablo Neruda to Francisco Fantini". The year 2019 I arrived in Parma where I started with the search for culture related to its cuisine with the aim of also publishing a book on this beautiful city and its surroundings known as the Food Valley where traditional products such as Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese stand out , Prosciutto di Parma, homemade pasta, truffle, wines and many others. I recommend this experience because you will not find elsewhere a point of view so committed to cultural identity and respect for nature
Historic center of Parma, an ancient delicatessen with the gastronomic monuments of the Food Valley, the Bottega del Tartufo, a traditional Bakery, a bar where you can take a run of coffee, a horse butchery, a cremeria and a ham shop with the typical products of the region . Also in the route on the streets of this city we will know different places to have lunch or dinner, or an aperitif, after the tour.
