2 Bars // 1 Graveyard - Do you want to hear a Ghost Story? Charleston is home of the supernatural, paranormal, and existential: 350 years of graveyards, ghosts, and ghouls in a drinking town with a history problem. Starting at one of Charleston's more notorious watering holes, an upscale dive, we will start our paranormal exploration at the bar. Our story begins with the tale of George Washington's "Witch Doctor," a Charlestonian woman who saw the future. From there, we will venture to the "Witch Doctor's" final resting place. Along the way, we will walk through a gunfighter's alley where 100's of men lost their lives, and learn to feel a spirit when it passes your way. Lastly, we will stop at another notorious watering hole where we will learn about the slave who had to die for America to be born and how her spirit still roams the streets of Charleston today. Once you hear this ghost story, your heart will beat twice every time you see the American Flag. Learn to see a ghost, learn to feel a spirit, and learn the secret of "All Day Drinking" in a drinking town with a history problem. Please note, food, drink, and transportation are not included.
After decades in the financial industry and a stint in academia, 9 years ago, I became a licensed Charleston Tour Guide and 6 years ago an independent operator. I am your Ambassador to a greater understanding and a good time. Once a walking guide, a ghost tour guide, and for 2 years, one of the city's most requested Carriage Drivers, today, I am a writer, a storyteller, and a social activist on the lookout for the hidden messages, overlooked events, and heartfelt meaning of the world around us, dedicating myself to sharing stories of empowerment: The stories of the 2 Bars // 1 Graveyard
From beginning to end we will be roaming the bars and graveyards of the old historical city. With existential inspiration and an insiders knowledge, you will be led by a guide through a paranormal drinking experience where you will learn to see and feel spirits, and along the way, you may even answer the questions, "Are we alone?," and "Why are we here?"
Good Ghost Hunter's Attitude
It's adult entertainment. Ghost stories are told from perch of a bar stool. It's a wander through the old historical city where the spirits of yesterday still roam the streets. Drinking is encouraged, but if you're not a drinker but want to hear a ghost story, feel free to drink sweet tea!
