The Bristol Macabre and Gruesome History Tour - Discover the macabre and gruesome history of Bristol. From haunted pubs to slavery and bloody murder, wrap up warm and retrace the steps of the city’s darkest days. Although I speak English, as I use MP3 players, I can offer the tour in many languages with prior notice. Please contact me before booking if you wish the tour to be in another language. You will need to bring headphones with a normal connection (unfortunately not wireless). If you do not have any headphones with you, do not worry, I have headphones you can borrow with brand new earpieces each time.
Starting at the Cary Grant statue in Millennium Square and ending at Bristol’s oldest pub built in 1606, this walking tour will last around 2 hours and will be just under 3 miles of walking with regular stops. Along the journey you will discover some of the dark history of Bristol, including haunted pubs, riots, murder and the key players in Bristol’s slave trade.
