体験できること
You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Falconry Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained falcons using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. There will be plenty of time for questions and pictures with our birds. My hope is to send you home with a new, or perhaps renewed, love for these majestic predators and the environment.
The experience is ideal for special occasions and corporate team building. If you'd like to book a private group please feel free to contact us.
The experience lasts 1.5 hours and there is some standing involved, we can always provide a chair if necessary, just let us know in advance.

My name is Antonella, I am a biologist and paraglider pilot. With my husband Dave, who I met while flying, and our friend Terry we opened Total Raptor Experience, www.totalraptorexperience.com, a Falconry School. Together we offer falconry experiences and advocate for environment conservation. We love to share our love for raptors and for free-flight with our friends and our guests, and hope to get you involved as well.

We'll be at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a beloved San Diego Landmark tucked between Black Beach, Torrey Pines State Reserve and the Salk Institute. It offers incredible views of the cliffs and the ocean and access to the beach. The area has free parking, is wheelchair accessible, and has a great off-the-grid cafe. On a good day you can see paragliders soar along the coast, spot dolphins go by and a number of soaring birds cruise the coastline.

This experience was a lot of fun and we got a ton of greater photos to share with friends and family and to remind us of the wonderful experience. They did a great job answering questions and making sure everyone got their fill of the magnificent birds!

Had such an amazing fun experience doing this! I surprised my fiancé for his 25th and he loved it. Antonella and Dave were very informative and very helpful with everything. Right away it was a great hands on experience with the birds at such a beautiful location. We were provided with hand sanitizer before and after the experience which was nice and they made sure social distancing was involved. Overall we really loved this experience, the videos and pictures we captured are just too amazing.

Such a fantastic experience! So so glad we did this! We’re got a bunch of time to close and personal with the bird (a Lanner falcon) and I learned a lot about their ecology. 1000% would do it again.
