This workshop is a perfect for a ladies day out, while your guys go fishing! Grab your girlfriends and treat yourself to a day of inspiration, friendship, tranquility and mindfulness. You will design and make your very own Mala necklace that reflect your personal energy and intentions. You will have a large selection of beads, charms and thread colors available to make the Mala your intuition guides you to. Simply wearing a Mala that you connect with is a step towards self-love and living a life filled with intention! The experience will last at least 4 hours, and include light refreshments. Participants may also bring their own food and beverage refreshments. "Mala" is the Sanskrit word for meditation garland. It is a strand of 108 beads, traditionally used to keep track mantras during meditation. It's also a visual or tactile reminder to bring us back to the present moment. Meditating with Mala beads has been shown to slow respiration and encourage well-being. Repeating the mantra of your choosing redirects the mind from daily obsessions and introduces positive thought patterns.
Light refreshments will be provided. Let me know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions!!
Coffee, tea, water and mimosas
The workshop will be held on my sailing catamaran, in a local tea room, resort, or restaurant, depending on the weather and number of participants. I can also host the workshop at your location if you prefer, with a group reservation. I can accommodate up to 4 people on my sailboat, and up to 5 people everywhere else. We do have a cat on the sailboat, if you have allergies, you may want to bring your allergy meds.
If you need reading glasses, please bring them with you. You may also bring a pair of tweezers to aid in the bead knotting. This activity requires beading and knotting 108 beads, which may be tedious for some.
