The adventure will begin from the famous Blue hole in Dahab. From there we will meet our camels who will carry our provisions for the trip.
Walking or riding along the edge of the desert next to the pristine reefs that join the sea with the mountains and land.
After one and a half hours we will arrive at Ras Abu Gallum a protected area here in the Sinai.
A welcoming pot of tea will be ready on our arrival and we can unpack and relax in the evening light.
This village has been here for many years but still is disconnected in many ways. Phones only work in certain places and electricity comes only from generators and very rarely.
Dinner will be served and cooked by our Bedouin host in their traditional method.
After a walk in the moonlight its time for Bed. Or to sit around the fire for a chat.
The sun comes up early here and after a light breakfast, we will take to the sea for a snorkel.
The coral reef here is fantastic and full of life. Fish of all different colours and sizes adorn this place.
After lunch, we will head off to the blue lagoon for a swim in the shallow warm waters.
Time drifts away in this amazing place and with before you know it its time to leave.
After one more pot of tea, we will pack up our stuff and load it back onto the camels for our return journey back to the real world.
Yourself like me will never forget this first trip to Ras Abu Gallum.
