The Samba school is a special place where you can enjoy the samba atmosphere with locals from the community. We'll listen to this Brazilian rhythm, a symbol of historic black culture and resistance that has become one of the most powerful elements of the Brazilian identity.
I graduated from law school and worked for five years as a tax consultant at PwC and Dtt dealing with expats from all over the world. Back in 2012, I decided to quit and follow my dream of opening up Samba Green hostel. I ran by my own for a few years when I could realize how amazing is to welcome travelers into my country and introducing them to the best spots in Rio. Now, after getting a tour guide licence and graduate from a MBA in “Rio de Janeiro City History” I feel ready to provide you the real Rio de Janeiro experience and the coolest vibe on earth. I also provide the following experiences on airbnb : Secluded Beaches Off The Beaten Track; Explore The Birthplace of Samba - Pedra do Sal; Christ & Sugar Loaf; Old Town Walking Tours & Fun Happy Hour.
Authentic Brazilian Appetizers
Transportation I'll provide transportation between our meeting point and the school and back
The famous Carnival parade in Rio is a competition between 12 samba schools. Each school represents a different community, which can be a neighborhood, favela, or smaller city in the metropolitan area of Rio. Every weekend before Carnival, the Samba schools invite everyone for an amazing party.
Bring money (in cash) for your own expenses, such as drinks for exemple.
