Looking for a great way to enjoy the California beach? Come jump in the ocean and learn to surf! I'll have you standing in no time and hooked on a new hobby for life!
Don't worry if you've never surfed. I am CPR certified and I am sure through my method of instruction you will be able to be successful at surfing and that I can have you standing up riding a surfboard in your first lesson!

If you want to rent a wet-suit, they can be rented at Rusty Del Mar Surf Shop on 15th Street Del Mar. They are the closest surf shop that rents wet-suits, and they rent wet-suits for $5/hr.

Grant and Marshall were both excellent hosts to the surf experience. I was terrified at first because this would be my very first time surfing but they both made me feel at ease. Their encouragements and helpful tips throughout the experience made me feel eager to take the challenge on and persist through. I had so much fun!

My first experience surfing was great thanks to Grant and his team at Stafford Surf School.
The instructions to a local wetsuit rental place were very helpful and the free parking lot meet-up location worked out perfectly.
My husband and I ended up having a private class with 3 instructors on the beach to teach us the basic moves and a personal instructor to help us out in the waves. Think about them as a trusted surf caddie helping to select the right waves, set the board properly, encourage us, and offer helpful advice. The hour flew by and Grant also offered to let us continue to borrow the surfboards to practice on our own, which was very thoughtful.
We had a great time and would definitely recommend the experience for anyone looking to learn to surf in the San Diego area!
