This is a hands-on class where guests will be taking metal and shaping it into jewelry. I’ll provide enough silver and/or copper for each guest to make a ring or a set of earrings. We’ll spend a short time going over safety and then you’ll have to decide what you want to make. I’ll provide examples of already made jewelry to use as templates if guests need ideas. By the end of the session each guest will have a piece of handmade jewelry to take home with them. Some date night couples like to make rings for each other instead of making jewelry for themselves.
I’m a Journeyman Machinist turned jeweler. I’ve been working with metal for 20+ years and teaching jewelry making classes since 2013. It’s thrilling as my students realize they can take a hunk of silver and shape it into their design. My favorite part of my job is when I get to help people who are in love make their engagement rings and wedding bands.
