Welcome to the village of Caldes de Malavella! This once Roman village has all you need to relax and experience Catalan life. Famous for its therapeutic hot spring waters and to the home of the world-renowned water companies, water is a major factor for this town. Our tour will begin at the train station where we walk 5 minutes to the famous hotel spa of Vichy Catalan to enjoy a drink an introduction. There is plenty to offer in this town and we are more than flexible in what you choose to do and at your pace. The volcanic hot springs are first on our trip. These taps dotted around the town are at different temperatures, tastes and have natural healing properties for us to discover and try. Small ancient streets with secret passageways will lead us to the 200 bc Roman baths. Sadly not in use any more but still fascinating to explore. Caldes de Malavella has an ancient legend and whilst we sit in the Roman baths we will tell you the local story of the evil Malavella and her spell that controlled the town. Time for tapas and refreshments at one of the local bars, as after it's off to the naturally heated pool with a water temperature of 36 degrees celsius all year round. Alternatively, local forest walks up to the ruins of the Castle of the Evil Malavella. Our tour will end here, and just in time for you to eat lunch at one of the fantastic local restaurant!
