I will pick you up at your accommodations at 9:00 AM and drive you for about an hour to Punta Arenas beach, on the way there we will talk about this area of BCS and how the bays and islands of the Gulf of California were formed. We will make two stops along the way to appreciate the spectacular views of the bay and at a local store (in case you want to take something else to the beach). At 10:00 AM we will arrive and settle comfortably to enjoy the next 5 hours of this stunning beach, we will snorkel in the reef and here you can collaborate with science helping us register the species that we find exploring while snorkeling. You can also enjoy doing SUP (stand up paddleboard). We will walk along the beach to identify shells, corals and sea creatures in the tide pools. During all the time we will have available fresh fruit juices, water, seasonal fruit, snacks, and food. At 3:00 PM we will leave the beach to visit the natural saline and learn how salt is artisanally produced. We will take photos at the historic lighthouse and farewell the turquoise coast. We will be back in La Paz at 4:30 PM.
I´m a naturalist guide in Baja California Sur, which I became because I´m deeply in love with this peninsula. I specialize in the cultural and natural heritage of México and will share with you all those things that amaze me about Baja... Together, we will snorkel reefs, paddle the coast, sightsee fauna, ID plants, explore natural history through geology, have fun! Because I live, laugh and love at Baja I will only take you to the best of it; into the hidden beaches, paths, and towns only visited by us locals, I will introduce you to the ranch life, fishermen friends, local legends and the most authentic spots to eat, drink and shop. I have 7 years of experience guiding in Baja certified by SECTUR, have a WFR training and a degree in ecotourism (which I signed up to when I realized all wanted to is explore Baja California Sur ; )

Punta Arenas is a stunning beach mostly known by locals, is remote and it has no restaurants stores or much infrastructure. The conditions of the bay create natural saline which is harvested by locals of communities around the bay. It holds a historic lighthouse that keeps guiding sailors from the coast. On the way there we will enjoy views and stop at a local store where you can try the most amazing empanadas and burritos, a local pearl.
Punta arenas is a remote beach with no phone or internet signal. Perfect to disconnect! There is not much infrastructure so we bring everything you will need.
Snorkel and SUP Punta Arenas Beach day!
