Come jump in the beautiful ocean with you own professional surfing instructor! I am a trained professional that has unique insight on the best surfing locations guaranteed to give provide optimal waves for surfing. During your lesson I demonstrate and explain in depth the techniques you'll need to learn to become a master surfer. You will then practice those techniques under my guidance on the beach until you feel comfortable. Once you and I are both confident that you know how to do each technique on land we will venture out into the water to put your skill to the test with my supervision and assistance. After the lesson we will review your progress and talk about the next steps in your surfing journey. This experience is designed to shorten your learning curve, I will try to provide you with all the tips and tricks I have discovered during my 20 years in the waves so you can continue surfing on your own. Every lesson I teach is focused on safety, comfortability in the water, and or course ENJOYMENT!

I have over 20 years of surfing the west coast and various waves around the world, almost a decade of coaching experience in tennis and lacrosse, as well as holding numerous nonprofits, mentorship programs, camp counselor and volunteer positions over the years. I pours my heart into every lesson to give students a totally radical experience, nurturing growth in the water, mind, and heart. I am soon to be a father, and have more than enough patience to meet everyone's needs. I have lifeguard training and am CPR certified. On occasion when the waves are just right and students show enough potential, I will extend the lesson and surf side by with students as a bonus because I genuinely love watching and teaching people to learn to surf. Keeping my students warm is important so I use only top of the line equipment during my lessons.

Zane was extremely knowledgeable and set us up for success. We spent a short time going over the basics then he took us out to catch some waves and practice, and he could point out things to improve on as we learned. Ended up catching some great waves! He has the best equipment as well. Excellent!

This was my first time attempting to surf and it was a great experience! Zane is a great instructor. I was in my head a bit and he really helped me relax and enjoy the experience. I was able to catch a few waves and stand up a cpl of times thanks to his instructions. I plan on doing more lessons with him because I can’t wait to get better and I know I will working with him. Great cpl of hours, great conversation and expertise from Zane! 10/10 recommend!
