Your Pilates session lasts for 1 hour and starts with a 10 minute warm up and stretch. Firstly we would work the large muscle groups in the legs and bottom with some standing legwork. This is intense but very good for muscle tone! Next we move onto the upper body and arm work where we perform a 5 minute routine working against gravity to tone the arms and upper back. We then move onto a flexibility section for the legs to stretch them out after their session. Now onto the floor for matwork to work the core . We will perform exercises for upper and lower abdominal muscles and for thr obliques ( waist) . This is an intense section but all exercises are performed with slow and controlled movements and lasts for around 15 minutes. We then move onto back strengthener exercises which are excellent for improving lower back strength. And then onto some core stability held positions to help with core strength and balance throughout the body. We then move onto the final strength stage of the session with some held plank positions for total body strength and stability. The last section of the class involves a long relaxing stretch on the mat and deep breathing.

If you would like a one to one Pilates experience I offer a 1 hour session on my beautiful sun terrace right next to the Hideaway! Pilates is great for improving your core strength and posture. It is also very good for helping back injuries and just in general to improve muscle tone and flexibility. My coaching manner is fun and friendly and very professional. You will experience your Pilates class in Ventnor Fitness Studio which is a beautiful modern studio situated in the heart of Ventnor. For the one to end experience you will have your Pilates session on my sun terrace surrounded by a waterfall cascade feature, palm trees and the most amazing sea view. The roar of the sea can be heard. Some relaxing music alongside the view makes it a beautiful experience .
If you're new to Pilates please dont be concerned. Everyone has different fitness levels and I always take this into account so the experience is enjoyable and you wont struggle. Please just let me know of any injuries or worries before we start the session .
