You will arrive at our commercial home kitchen. We will show you where and how we make our sauces. We will then sit to discuss and taste the full line of sauces we make—usually 8 to 10 in rotation at a time. We will tell you all about what we do and why we do it!

We are Sarah and Dirk, the owners of Marshall's Haute Sauce. We will guide you through a tasting of our unique line of sauces, including Habanero Carrot Curry, Serrano Ginger Lemongrass, Smoked Habanero Barbecue, and Ghost Chili Apple. We will tell you how each sauce is made and where and why we chose those particular combinations.

I might not have looked for this opportunity in my treasured hometown of Portland except that a visiting relative and her partner were so impressed when they visited, that they gifted this experience to me. I took an experienced/knowledgeable chef/friend with me and we both truly enjoyed learning about this wonderful local - and local sourcing - maker of truly delicious hot sauces by a wife/husband team - Sarah and Dirk. Dirk did our presentation and the experience led us on interesting discussions of not just their sauces and tasting, but also requirements of their home/commercial kitchen, their long time participation in Portland’s farmer’s market community, and their self-distribution to local markets. We recommend this tasty and interesting experience to all.

Absolutely fantastic!! This experience is super unique - an interesting "spicy" wine, a ton of special hot sauces to try, and fantastic conversation. I left full (and with a few bottles of hot sauce), alongside a ton of food recommendations for the area. Don't wait - just book!!

Dirk (Sarah’s Husband) was excellent at helping us dive into their world of hot sauce. Dirk shared a lot of great stories not only about their experiences in the hot sauce community and how they source all their ingredients but also stories about his family and how and why they decided to get into the world of hot sauce making. All their hot sauces were truly unique and had combinations of ingredients I had never even thought about before.
It truly was an excellent and a one-of-a-kind experience and I would definitely do again when I’m in Portland again. If you are debating about doing these AirBnB experience debate no longer and book as fast as you can.
